Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications (DECT) phones are devices that can be used to communicate through phone lines without a cord connecting the handset and base. The phone could allow for mobility around the organization while still facilitating communication with contacts.

Back when Yealink released its first W52P DECT phone, it was met with rave reviews from customers. So when the time came to create a new DECT phone, Yealink wanted to keep the same features that helped make the product great. And this is precisely what you’ll find in the second generation DECT system, the W56P: The same great DECT phone model, but with better functionalities as well as improved performance and a sleeker design.

Perhaps the most exciting part about the new W56P DECT phone is its dynamic power-saving and optimized charging features:

Unparalleled battery performance: The W56P is powered by one of the most advanced Li-ion batteries available. This battery allows the phone to support a whopping 30 hours of talk time, and up to 400 hours of standby time, before it needs to be recharged. Because of this, the phone can be moved around the office without having to worry about returning it to the charger cradle.

It should also be noted that the phone supports a quick charge feature. Charge it for just 10 minutes, and receive up to two hours of talk time!

Simple charging: This top-of-the line enterprise phone can be charged via USB wherever it is most convenient for the user, be it mobile power pack, laptop or accompanying Yealink charging dock.

As you can see, the W56P is not your average, clunky wireless enterprise phone. And because of this, it’s ideal for use in the following settings:

  • Offices: Using the W56P, employees can move from board rooms to adjacent cubicles to central meeting areas or breakout rooms without having to worry about missing calls.
  • Catering facilities: Catering facilities can be a whirlwind of activity. Orders and instructions are often subject to change, and when they do workers need to be informed in order to deliver correct results.
  • Hospitals: Nurses and doctors are rarely in one place for more than a short amount of time. The W56P can ensure that when help is needed, workers can be easily and seamlessly reached.

The W56P, it should be noted, is also ideal for use in law firms, supermarkets and warehouses. It’s great for use at the small to medium sized business or enterprise level.

Yealink W56P will be formally launched on April 20, 2016.
